Restaurant Reviews of Portland, Oregon

When I was a child my father, sister and me started a tradition affectionately referred to as “dinner night”.  As I have grown older, we have continued our dinner night tradition.  Dinner night is one of my most cherish events.  It’s a time, twice a month where I meet my father somewhere and we have dinner together, catch up on each others lives and re-connect.  Part of the fun of dinner night is that we like to explore all the wonderful neighborhood restaurants that Portland has to offer.  So, after encouragement from my father, I am going to start writing reviews of the different places that we explore.  Some weeks there may be really great places to read about and some weeks (depending on how prepared I was for dinner night), the places may be a bit run-of-the-mill.  Either way, I will write a review, for better or for worse.  So, stay tuned for a little taste of Portland, Oregon!

Review Ratings:

I will be rating each restaurant based on a scale of 1 – 5 of “yummy goodness”.  Yummy goodness is that oh, so yummy taste sensation you get when you eat the most fantastic food.  It is the phrase I use to describe that perfect meal, or dish.  I often refer to a really fantastic dessert as yummy goodness.  I dream of being able to open my own bakery, “Yummy Goodness, by Molly” one day.  So, it only seems fitting that I use a scale of yummy goodness in my ratings.

1 of 5 yummy goodness (bad)
2 of 5 yummy goodness (not bad, but not worth returning)
3 of 5 yummy goodness (nothing special)
4 of 5 yummy goodness (Great!)
5 of 5 yummy goodness (What are you waiting for? RUN, don’t walk to this place!)
